GUIDELINES

Submission Guidelines

Tell Press is an editorial home for women weaving the threads of storytelling in languages that risk being forgotten. We seek creative works that honor heritage while pushing the boundaries of contemporary form.

We are currently accepting creative submissions—poetry, short fiction, creative non-fiction, hybrid, and experimental forms—written by women in endangered languages. Our primary focus is to celebrate the vibrancy and survival of the unique voice that each of these traditions offer.

In addition to new creative works, our mission includes preservation. We welcome proposals for reprints of titles by women writers that are no longer in circulation, ensuring these essential strands of history remain part of the global literary dialogue.

Q&A

What types of creative work do you accept?

We publish all creative works written by women in endangered languages. We welcome poetry, prose, creative nonfiction, hybrid work, and other experimental forms. Our primary focus is original work in endangered languages. We do not publish children’s or young adult books.

Do you publish reprints of older books?

Yes. Part of our mission is to ensure that voices from the past remain in circulation. We actively seek out and publish reprints of books by women that are no longer available to modern readers.

Are there any submission fees?

No. Tell Press does not charge any fees for submissions or publication. We believe in providing an accessible platform for voices that have historically been marginalized.

When can I expect to hear back?

We strive to respond to all submissions within 4 weeks. Every piece is read with care and consideration by our small, dedicated editorial team.
